Extended summer term

Chairman Grant writes

"The summer 2018 term has been really well supported and we regularly have had 10 members coming along each week and they have enthusiastically supported the idea of us extending the summer term until 30th May. This will be the longest summer term we have ever had and, because of the number of members who have paid up for the term, the extra weeks will be free for them.

Another innovation of having a coffee/tea break is proving very popular and is an opportunity for members to pick up tips and ideas get to know each other better. Only 20p a cup!

With the new members, the attendance at our sessions and the new fee system, we think we can now be very positive about the future of the group."

Open evening a great success

We had a good number of people visit on 27 September and the workshop was buzzing with interest whilst people looked at the work that members had brought to show and asked questions about the club.

The forthcoming 'Introduction to silversmithing' is now fully subscribed but please contact John Huddleston (john@jhsilver.co.uk) if you are interested in attending another course sooner or later.

You don't have to do the course to join the club, so please contact us and arrange a visit.
