John

John has been silversmithing for nearly 40 years, mostly as a hobby, but more recently as a business (www.jhsilver.co.uk).  He taught silversmithing for Abingdon College for many years and founded the Abingdon Silver Group in the early 1990’s.  He runs the group’s ‘Introduction to Silversmithing’ course in the Autumn term.  John’s work covers a wide range of designs from earrings to candelabra and techniques from simple fabrication to casting and etching.
